Teal and Joyce’s CD Release at Hugh’s Room, on Sunday, September 28 was a rousing success. The audience composed of musical friends, fans and family really enjoyed the performance and sales of the new CD, “Has It All Been Said” were brisk. The band, David Woodhead (Bass), Anne Lindsay(Violin), Ross Wooldridge(Sax and Clarinet) and Geoff Summers(mandolin) all performed perfectly! We had a wonderful time playing at “Live from the Rock” Folk Festival in beautiful Red Rock, Ontario and made many new friends. Thanks to everyone involved! One of our highlights was a Blues workshop were we shared a stage with Suzie Vinnick, Sunday Wilde, Billy Manzik and “The Moose” (his blues were quite significant as you can see).

We’ve having a great tour out west on “The Canadian” ViaRail train. Three shows a day Toronto to Edmonton. Stops in Capreol, Hornepayne, Winnipeg & Melville. Carol has finished up her Executive Director position with ArtsCan Circle, as of the end of 2012, and has handed over the reins to others! As a result, she will have much more time to devote to music and other artistic endeavours! She will still volunteer for ArtsCan Circle, as will Dave (as a director). So we have much more flexibility and time for performing our music! “Teal and Joyce” will be performing at “Winterfolk” in Toronto during February and “Live From the Rock” at Red Rock, Ontario in August....

In Mid September, Carol, also executive director of ArtsCan Circle, made a presentation to the Probus Club of Ajax during their monthly meeting. Afterwards, Teal and Joyce played a set of their songs which all seemed to enjoy. They especially seemed to enjoy the “Shaving Song” and “Power Tools”! Carol & David have both been very involved with the ArtsCan Circle organization since 2005. Carol was the organization’s Executive Director from 2008 to 2013. ArtsCan Circle is a charity dedicated to linking musical and visual artists with native youth at risk in isolated communities of Canada.
